Employee Assistance Program The City of Lewisville sponsors an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) which is available to all regular, full-time employees and dependents within the employees' household. Coverage is not available to regular, part-time or seasonal employees. The purpose of the program is to provide confidential assistance to employees and family members with personal problems. Personal problems addressed by the EAP may include but are not limited to the following categories: · emotional/psychological · marital/relationship · family · financial assistance and planning · legal assistance (provided by attorneys) -- 2 phone contacts per year and 25% discount off standard fees if it is necessary to refer an employee for a face-to-face meeting · alcohol/drug abuse dependency issues Each employee or dependent is eligible for six counseling sessions per episode (problem) at NO COST. Services required beyond these six sessions may be covered by the City's medical plan. In addition to providing the counseling sessions under the program, the EAP also serves as the Managed Mental Health Coordinator for the City's Medical Plan. This means that all services relating to mental health must be coordinated by the EAP and its providers.
