Lewisville residents now have a new permanent collection center for disposing of hazardous household products and electronic wastes. Residents can drop off these materials on the Second Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. until Noon at the City's Residential Convenience Center. Contact the Environmental Programs Office at 972-219-3503 for more information, or visit our web site and go to "Trash and Recycling Information" then "Residential Convenience Center".
The average household has three to ten gallons of materials that can be hazardous to human health or the environment. These products should never be improperly disposed of by pouring down the drain, on the ground, into the storm drain, or into the trash because they can contaminate surface water, septic tanks, or even the wastewater treatment system. Each of us must take responsibility for how we take care of this place we call home. We want to help you do the right thing for our environment!
Mark your calendars now for Second Saturdays -- See you soon!
If you need additional information about the Residential Collection Center or any of the City’s environmental programs, please contact the Environmental Programs Office at
972-219-3503.
NOTE: Only residents who live within Lewisville city limits are eligible to participate in monthly collection days. Residents of Castle Hills should contact administrative offices of Denton County Fresh Water District at 972-899-4000 for information about programs available in Castle Hills. |
