Qualified Voters and Residents of the City of Lewisville

The Board shall act only in an advisory capacity to the City Council in all matters pertaining to Parks and Recreation; shall acquaint itself with and make a continuous study and inspection of the complete parks and recreation system; to follow a master planning guide for park buildings, structures, facilities, athletic areas or other improvements on park areas; to recommend the adoption of standards on areas, facilities, programs and financial support; to recommend to the City Council rules and regulations governing the use of facilities; to advise the Parks and Leisure Services Director, City Council, and City Manager of recommendations and reasons therefore; and to perform such other duties as the City Council may prescribe by ordinance.
