The Clear The Shelter event is tomorrow, Saturday, Aug. 19 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Gene Carey Animal Shelter and Adoption Center, 995 E. Valley Ridge Blvd.  All pet adoption fees will waived during the event.  Adoption includes sterilization, microchip, viral vaccines, Rabies vaccine, Heartworm testing (if applicable), city registration (if Lewisville resident) and 30 days of free pet insurance. The Lewisville Police Department is authorized 158 police and 75 civilian positions. Our mission at the Lewisville Police Department is to work in partnership with the community to protect life and property, maintain order, and enforce the law.

The employees of the Lewisville Police Department are expected to present a professional image and to inspire public confidence.
