Neighborhood Services

Neighborhood Services is composed of multiple departments, including Building Services, Code Enforcement, and Grants. Neighborhood Services actively fosters partnerships with homeowners, businesses, and neighborhood liaisons to help build and preserve a high quality of life for all Lewisville residents.

The Code Enforcement Department receives, investigates, tracks, and coordinates zoning and code violation complaints in the City of Lewisville. Our goal is to settle code compliance issues by educating and communicating clearly with the public to achieve voluntary compliance.

Building Services manages and coordinates plan reviews, permitting, and inspections of private construction projects in accordance with the City of Lewisville ordinances and adopted building codes.

The Grants department manages the City's Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding, as well as other municipal grant and rebate programs. Jamey Kirby is the Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) Coordinator, where he oversees a staff of two; the Grants Specialist Laura Mitchell, and the Housing Rehabilitation Technician Drew Christ. Programs include the First Time Homebuyer Program, the Property Enhancement Program, and the Lewisville Housing Rehab Program.
The purpose of the Neighbors Leading Neighbors (NLN) Program is to cultivate volunteer Neighborhood Leaders who engage, empower, and motivate residents to improve quality of life in their neighborhoods with the goal of advancing the long-term vitality of the community, with a focus on achieving objectives outlined under Lewisville's 2025 Vision.
