Living in the Metroplex makes it difficult to get hometown news on a daily basis, so the City of Lewisville is doing its best to keep you informed through several avenues.

This page will allow you to see what we send to the media, whether it makes it into print or not. The city publicizes projects, programs, achievements, safety tips, ordinances, Council actions, public notices, special events, and much, much more through News Releases.

The city also operates two Municipal Access cable channels, LVTV Prime and LVTV Leisure, available on the basic tier of the Time Warner and Verizon VFIOS cable systems. The City of Lewisville has lined up an impressive group of musical acts for the Pro Watercross National Tour set for Saturday, June 10, and Sunday, June 11, at Lewisville Lake Park.

The Pro Watercross Tour visits lakes and beaches across the country each summer. It is the featured national tour for personal watercraft racing, combining the finest professional and amateur athletes in the United States and internationally for extreme racing on challenging closed courses. This same event was scheduled at Lewisville Lake in 2015, but historic flooding that year forced cancellation of the event.

On Saturday, June 10, the Chaz Marie Band will perform 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Texas Flood, the Stevie Ray Vaughan tribute band that rocked Sounds of Lewisville and KTA last year, will perform 1:30-3 p.m.

On Sunday, June 11, Neighborhood Nuisance will perform 11 a.m.-noon. Ask Alice, an Alice in Chains tribute band, will perform 1-2:30 p.m.

The stage will be set up in Lake Park. To reach the concert area, motorists will need to go through the Lake Park tollgate on Sandy Beach Road. Regular Lake Park admission will be charged for this event ($3 per car for Lewisville residents, $10 per car for non-Lewisville residents). There also will be a free shuttle to and from Lake Park originating at Lowe’s Home Improvement, 1051 N. Stemmons Freeway. Attendees using the shuttle are asked to park in the east side of the parking lot, next to the garden center. The shuttle will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. The City also is teaming up with the ride-sharing service Bubbl to provide easy access to the event site. This ride-sharing service is operated by retired police officers. Attendees can use the code LAKE2017 for discounts on the Bubbl ride. Shuttle bus and Bubbl users will not have to pay park admission.

The City of Lewisville is proud to have Bud Light, Mellow Mushroom, Lone Star Toyota of Lewisville, Bubbl, and Lowe’s Home Improvement as sponsors for this event.
