Living in the Metroplex makes it difficult to get hometown news on a daily basis, so the City of Lewisville is doing its best to keep you informed through several avenues.

This page will allow you to see what we send to the media, whether it makes it into print or not. The city publicizes projects, programs, achievements, safety tips, ordinances, Council actions, public notices, special events, and much, much more through News Releases.

The city also operates two Municipal Access cable channels, LVTV Prime and LVTV Leisure, available on the basic tier of the Time Warner and Verizon VFIOS cable systems. LVTV Prime (TW-16, VF-15) broadcasts programs and announcements with basic information about city events and operations, while LVTV Leisure (TW-96, VF-16) focuses on the parks and recreation field.

ESCAPE is a Dallas-based band performing a musical tribute to the arena rock supergroup Journey. Since 2006, ESCAPE has been performing all over DFW and beyond to packed venues where the crowds love to sing and dance to the timeless music of Journey, both old and new. As a tribute band, this gives ESCAPE the advantage of appealing to a wide audience that spans all ages and musical tastes. The ladies love the ballads, the guys love the rockers, and everyone loves to sing along and dance to every song.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase as Fire in the Hole Pizza, Yogurt Zone, Lean Machine, Vizcarra Hospitality, and Aloha Shaved Ice will be on-site.

Attendees for Sounds of Lewisville should note that glass bottles are strongly discouraged in Wayne Ferguson Plaza, and smoking/vaping is prohibited. Attendees also are reminded there is no swimming or playing in the flowing water feature that runs along the north side of the Plaza. Well-behaved pets on a leash are welcome; owners are expected to clean up after their animals, and plastic bag dispensers are available on site.

Wayne Ferguson Plaza is a 1.5-acre urban park that takes on a contemporary sweeping gesture using water to link east to west and united Lewisville City Hall and MCL Grand. It features an elevated stage, a multi-level seating area, an interactive splash pad and a garden filled with swathes of native grasses and wildflowers.

To reach the concert sites from Interstate 35E, take exit 452 and proceed east on Main Street to Charles Street. Free public parking is available along Main and Charles streets, or at Lewisville City Hall.
